Museum of Neighbourhood Anthropology

Museum of Neighbourhood Anthropology was a participatory pop-up museum that asked the  inhabitants of South Etobicoke to adopt the lens of an urban anthropologist, exploring their surroundings to discover, collect, interpret and display objects that tell stories about the unique social, cultural, environmental or political issues that impact the neighbourhood.

What objects, textures, smells, images, sounds can be used to represent something important or essential about the area? We called on the community to help collect and interpret items to display in a collaborative museum.
