NEXT/TEN

NEXT/TEN was a participatory exhibition that invited residents of Mimico to re-imagine the future of the neighbourhood through a series of creative, artist-led projects. For one month in April 2017, Lakeshore Arts’ Community Project Space was transformed by the local community as they executed and displayed a curated selection of future-oriented projects. 

Conceptualized and led by artist Emily DiCarlo, the project drew on on her creative practice investigating temporality and collaboration.  DiCarlo guided the community in creating artworks that both imagined and set a foundation for our collective future.
